INCREDABLE BATTLE OF BUNKER HILL
The Battle of Bunker Hill took place on June 17, 1775. The Americans took a lot of precaution in the British coming. They fortified Breed’s Hill, a hill right next to Bunker Hill. The British came and didn’t know what to do when they saw the fort. What will happen in this Battle for Bunker Hill?

The American armies had just won one of the battles against the British. We created a fort on Breed’s Hill to better our chances. They are gathering their forces to challenge the British that are planning to take control of the hills around Boston in order to be better prepared defensively. They rounded up troops to come and fight as they make their way to the city. When they arrived they knew that many of them would not go home and that the enemy British army was better armed and better trained but they had a dream of freedom for their kin. They fought their hardest but they in the lost. We may have lost but we made a statement. We told those Red Coats that we can fight and we will do all we can to fight for our rights and freedoms that they have taken away from us with their many acts and the violence.

The British Army during the battle at Bunker Hill. (Breed's Hill) Was a strong an experienced army, but what made the battle a victory for them was their strength in numbers. The American militia had approximately 2,400 soldiers and the more experienced British had approximately 3,000+ soldiers. The defeat of the American Militia was some what of a fluke. True the British did win the battle but only because they out numbered the American Militia. It should have been an easy battle for the British but was a stressful victory. They lost a lot of their soldiers during the battle. 800 soldiers w The commanders and leaders of the British army were William Howe, Sir Robert Pigot, James Abercrombie, John Pitcarin, and Henry Clinton. The Battle of Bunker Hill took place on June 17, 1775.The Battle of Bunker Hill was a bravely fought by the Americans. They knew they had little chance against the strong British Military, but they fought any way. Before the battle started, General Thomas Prescott ordered his men to fortified Breed’s Hill. When the British saw this massive earth structure they were stunned. They were also thrown off because they thought that the Americans would be on Bunker Hill, but William Prescott, being the tricky general he is, decided to make it on Breed’s Hill. As soon as there was light the British opened fire on the Americans earth fortress. After they finished their open fire, the British started to try to take control of the hill. American General would not let the Americana open fire until they saw the white of the eyes. The American Military finally started shooting it was too late the British took the hill. It may count as a defeat for the Americans but they showed the British that they could fight and would.

The Battle of Bunker Hill was one that will never be forgotten. The Americans fought long and hard against our oppressors and though they claimed a victory we have made a mark and told them that we want war and that there is no way to turn back. We are a new, independent country and will have that at any costs.
